About LeadHer

English Writer Matthew Arnold once said, “If ever there comes a time when the women of the world come together purely and simply for the benefit of mankind, it will be a force such as the world has never known!”

I believe that time is now and that force is embodied in the vision of LeadHer. Our mission is to see women to grow and nurture their God-given potential to make their greatest impact for Christ in this world…one woman, one chapter, one community at a time. LeadHer creates an environment for exactly that.

For years I was a part of that group of women trudging from a spiritual desert to the oasis of an annual women’s event. I discovered that the oasis was never enough to quench my thirst for the next dry spell, and sometimes, it was simply a mirage. When I noticed the same longing in other women, my heart was pricked for change. How can we take this experience out of the arena and back home with us? Why can’t we put a comma at the end of this event instead of a period?

When a woman taps into her passion, nothing can stand in her way. LeadHer serves to fan the flames of our passion for God and His purposes in and through us all—all year long. That flame is meant to blaze and ignite those around us!
We have seen this come to life already in the women of LeadHer. Our chapters are challenged and have put feet on their faith. They are ministering in domestic violence shelters, mentoring troubled teens, supporting community food banks, helping single moms and much, much more.

Since its official induction in May of 2011, LeadHer has launched more than a dozen active chapters from coast to coast across the United States with several potential coordinators and co-coordinators signed up for training to start their chapters in the summer of 2012. Through God’s divine hand, we have also begun LeadHer International, now serving to minister to women in the African nation of Kenya, and we are in talks with women in other countries to follow after this world vision.

We have a bold initiative—to change the world!
