My Story
In 2005 I was walking through a dark time in my life. My first marriage was ending, I was a single mom with three children under the age of five, and I felt very alone in the world. I was thankful that I had been raised with a strong foundation of faith that up until that time in my life had been more of an accessory faith then a reality faith that I lived and breathed. My faith became my life raft and Jesus who had always known and loved became my best friend.
I was blessed to not only remarry a wonderful man and his daughter in 2008 but to also really begin to find my calling in life. You see up until that point I had struggled moving from job to job and dream to dream. I was never able to feel peace in one place and was always in search of the next “great idea”. However, in 2008 I began to have more time to write and find the passion that I had for using my words to share thoughts, stories, and lessons with others.
I felt God put a call on my life in these dark days to start a ministry and an organization to help women feel encouraged and equipped on a regular basis— not just at occasional conferences and mountain top experiences. I fought that calling for several years feeling unqualified to live up to such a HUGE task; however, I finally realized that he would equip me for anything that he called me to.
I began networking online and found my paths crossing with amazing people and God opening doors that could have never been found without the use of Social Media. It was through this time that I met many of the people that are now involved in LeadHer.
I feel so blessed by the life that I am allowed to lead with my husband, Robert and our four children: Andrew, Bryson, Kaitlyn, and Montanah (and our English Bulldog, Addy). Our Andrew deals with Aspergers so that is a cause that our family is passionate about understanding and supporting.
I love the opportunities that God has granted me to lead, write, teach, and speak about a wide variety of topics including; leadership, time management, parenting, and social media.
I would love to hear from you! Please use this form to ask questions, share stories, or have me speak to your group.
